LATEST: 24 July 2010:
Glorious weather
graced the Festival on Saturday 17 July after a rainy day the Thursday before the event. With representatives from The Cook
Islands, Fiji, Kiribati, Papua New Guinea, Tahiti and Tuvalu and people travelling from Christmas Island in Kiribati, Dubai,
Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Scotland, Wales and various parts of England the occasion was a colourful, fun filled day
thoroughly enjoyed by all. Not least among those who enjoyed the day was the Senior Reporter from the Cornish Guardian newspaper
who conducted several interviews and stayed on for the feast and dancing far beyond the original time allocated to cover the
Festival. With a photographer present as well we look forward to some good coverage.
The organisers wish to express
their heartfelt thanks to everyone not just for supporting the event, but for all their enormous help in making
sure it ran smoothly and was such a success.
On the Sunday, Members gathered to discuss the event and consider
where to hold next year's Festival. Details of where it will be held in 2011 will be published in due course once the
venue and date is confirmed.
